Spring weekend: Musical potpourri
YMCA Lake Dewar Lodge, Garrards Lane, Myrniong (Melway map page 7)

A potpourri this year! Diane Draper will continue to magic jazz sounds out of our instruments; and Roger Palmer will pick up from the session we did two years ago with Heather Oldfield on the connections between Renaissance Dance and Renaissance Dance Music, but this time taking the music as the focus. Peter Madge is running a special session about recorder care and all those little mysteries that baffle us about our instruments: (Would a re-tune maybe help that pesky top note? How do I know a good second-hand recorder when I see one?). Amy Power (currently living in Switzerland and performing around Europe) will join us on the Saturday. Download our flyer with all the details!

As usual it would be most helpful if you could book early.  You can now complete the registration and medical forms online, or download them as Word files and mail them to us at VRG, PO Box 2729, Mount Waverley, 3149 (registration form; medical form). In either case your details will be confidential. Before you start on the registration form, please have a go at sightreading our music examples (just as far as you feel comfortable) - this will help the organisers place you in a small ensemble group.

Fees for the weekend are a little higher this year to cover various increases in costs, including the base rate for the venue which is now just over $200. We need a deposit of $75 to hold your place, or a full payment of $315 / $295 concession (and early bird payments received by the end of July). Deposits are refundable to the end of August, full payments less deposits are refundable to 15 September.

You can pay for your registration by cheque (posted to the VRG, PO Box 2729, Mount Waverley, 3149), or by bank payment. Our bank details are:
